1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar technologies with comparable effects, including local storage, session storage, software development kits and pixels. It explains how these technologies are used on kahulogic.com and in the KahuLogic platform, which are operated by Kahu Logic Limited, a company incorporated in New Zealand (NZBN 9429053390776).
Where information collected through these technologies is personal information, it is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
2. Categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. The first is always on, because the service cannot be provided without it. The other two are optional: section 3 explains when they are set and how to decline them.
Keep you signed in, maintain your session and workspace context, remember your cookie choices, balance load and protect against fraud and abuse. These cannot be switched off through our banner. Blocking them in your browser will stop parts of the platform from working.
Help us understand which pages and features are used, how the product performs and where people encounter errors, including through Microsoft Clarity's heatmaps and masked session replays (section 5). We use this to improve the Services.
Measure the performance of our own campaigns, attribute sign-ups to the source that referred them, and limit how often the same advertisement is shown. We do not sell information collected this way, and we do not use it to build profiles about your customers.
Cookies are either session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period. Our persistent cookies are set to expire no later than 13 months after they are placed or last refreshed. The cookies Microsoft Clarity uses are Microsoft's, and Microsoft sets how long they last (section 5).
3. Consent and changing your choices
When you first visit this website, we show a cookie notice. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, or we cannot tell where you are visiting from, optional cookies are not set until you accept them. Elsewhere, optional cookies are set when you arrive unless you decline them. Customize on the notice lets you allow analytics and marketing cookies separately. Analytics includes Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use the site: section 5 describes it, and Microsoft explains its own use of the data in the Microsoft privacy statement. Declining does not restrict your access to the Services. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of this website. Withdrawing consent does not remove cookies already stored on your device; you can clear those through your browser. The web app (app.kahulogic.ai) has no cookie notice; section 5 explains how Microsoft Clarity behaves there, and section 7 how to turn optional tags off in it.
4. Browser and device controls
Most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies. Those controls are in your browser's privacy or site settings. Blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in to the platform.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by providers we use for hosting, security, analytics, payment, video, mapping and advertising measurement. Those providers set their cookies under their own policies, and we do not control how they use the information they collect. Where a provider is used for an optional purpose, its cookies follow your choice as section 3 describes. You can ask us at privacy@kahulogic.com for the current list of providers that set cookies on this website.
Microsoft Clarity. This site uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use the site. See the Microsoft privacy statement. This website and the KahuLogic web app (app.kahulogic.ai) use Microsoft Clarity, a service provided by Microsoft, for behaviour measurements, heatmaps and session replays; section 11 of our Privacy Policy says what it records and what it masks. Clarity uses the cookies listed below. The two first-party cookies are stored under this website's own domain by Clarity's script; the five third-party cookies are set on Microsoft's domains. Microsoft receives the information these cookies help collect as an independent controller, and may use it for its own purposes, including to provide and improve Microsoft Advertising. On this website Clarity's cookies follow your choice as section 3 describes, and declining stops Clarity loading. In the web app, visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland get Clarity without cookies. In a browser that sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, Clarity does not load at all.
Keeps the Clarity user ID and preferences for this website, so that later visits to it are attributed to the same ID.
Joins the pages you view on a visit into a single Clarity session recording.
Records the first time Clarity saw this browser on any website that uses Clarity.
Indicates whether MUID is passed to ANID, a Microsoft advertising cookie. Microsoft says Clarity does not use ANID, so this is always set to 0.
Indicates whether MUID should be refreshed.
Microsoft's advertising cookie. Identifies unique browsers visiting Microsoft sites, and Microsoft uses it for advertising, site analytics and other operational purposes.
Used to keep MUID in step across Microsoft's domains.
How long each of these cookies lasts is set by Microsoft, not by us. Microsoft describes them in its Clarity cookie documentation. For how Microsoft uses personal data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement at https://www.microsoft.com/privacy/privacystatement.
LinkedIn Insight Tag. With your consent to marketing cookies, this website loads LinkedIn's Insight Tag, which section 10 of our Privacy Policy describes. Unlike the optional cookies that section 3 says are set when you arrive from outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, it waits until you accept wherever you are visiting from, and it does not load in a browser that sends Do Not Track. It stores three first-party cookies under this website's own domain: li_fat_id, which holds the identifier a LinkedIn advertisement adds to its link and is used for conversion tracking, retargeting and analytics; li_giant, an identifier for a group of LinkedIn members rather than for you alone, used for conversion tracking; and li_adsId, an identifier LinkedIn uses to measure its advertising, which it also keeps in your browser's local storage. How long they last is set by LinkedIn, not by us. LinkedIn also sets its own cookies on its own domains, which it lists in its cookie table at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/cookie-table. Declining stops the tag and removes these first-party cookies and the local storage entry from this website; LinkedIn's own cookies can be cleared through your browser.
6. Cookies on sites you build
This policy covers our own website and platform. If you publish a website using the Services, you are responsible for the cookies, tags and tracking tools you or your advisers enable on it, for the consent notice shown to your visitors, and for your own cookie policy. The controls we provide are tools; the compliance obligations for your site remain yours.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we honour it: no optional or vendor tags are loaded for that visit, on this website or in the web app, whatever the cookie banner would otherwise allow. If it sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Microsoft Clarity does not load on this website or in the web app, and in the web app no other optional or vendor tags load either. On this website our other optional tags do not yet read Global Privacy Control, so to decline them as well, use the banner or the Cookie preferences link in the footer. There is no common standard for how websites must respond to Do Not Track, and Global Privacy Control is recognised in law in some jurisdictions and not others. You can always use the banner and the preferences link to make or change your choice yourself.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the technologies we use change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Where a change introduces a new optional purpose, we will ask for your consent again.
